Pry House Farm looking towards Ash Gill

Ash Gill from Pry House Farmhouse

Home field awash with buttercups with Ash Gill behind

Pry House Farm stands proudly facing the fells and has jaw dropping views from every window.  Home Field in front of the house is a natural hay meadow that is rich with flowers and herbs.  It makes the most wonderful hay in summer.  Swaledale is famous for its wild flower hay meadows that remain only because of the traditional farming methods employed by hill farmers in the area.  Very little or no artificial fertilizer (which would kill the wild flowers) is put onto the land and the grass is not cut for hay until the flowers, herbs and grasses have seeded ensuring that the meadows will bloom again the following year.
