After heavy rain the waterfalls become a commanding, ferocious force of water. During a spell of deep frost waterfalls sometimes transform into a cold cascade of frozen lace and icy icicles.

Keld in Upper Swaledale has the highest concentration of waterfalls in England. Keld Waterfall Walk takes in the six waterfalls with public access. There are so many good reasons to visit upper Swaledale. Put waterfall walks on your ‘to do’ list when you are here. Winter, spring, summer and autumn walking with the waterfalls is a wonderful experience.
