History in the making at Pry House Farm

Born on Pry House Farm home field – a Herdwick lamb

We have our first Herdwick lamb at Pry House Farm.  On 22nd April 2019 Heidi the Herdwick had a tup lamb.  I’ve called him Marco!  He is a big, strong lamb and Heidi is very motherly with him.  It will be fun watching him grow.  Like all Herdwicks Marco was born black but as he grows his fleece will turn dark brown and he will get a white face.  He won’t turn the familiar steely grey colour until after his first clip.
